There’s nowhere you can be that isn’t where you’re meant to be. It’s easy.
~The Beatles – All You Need Is Love
Today’s Friday Photo marks the beginning of a six-week theme to commemorate my completion of the 2017 Six-Pack of Peaks Challenge. Each week will feature a photo I took on the trail to the peak, or from the summit of the peak itself.
This photo was taken while on our 16-mile out and back trek to Mount Wilson (Peak Number One in the Six-Pack of Peaks Challenge). Someone with a creative sense for rocks made this beautiful heart containing the word “Love“. A word that has more meanings, and expresses more different emotions, than any other word in any language. This type of art is temporary. A rainstorm can destroy it, or even some malicious person. Given this fact, I needed to capture the moment. The heart was nearly six feet in size! That’s a huge heart.
There are quite a few routes that you can take to Mount Wilson, and most of them average around 14 miles. Our route was a little different in that we summited two smaller peaks (Jones Peak and Hastings Peak) before reaching Mount Wilson. You can read my hiking log for this hike here.
